Estate Founded in 1980 as an agricultural farm, by Andrea’s father Ugolino.
It was the passion of young Andrea Petrini in the late ’90s that led the family to turn to vine-growing and winemaking.
” The 18-hectare estate, located close to the sea near Castelplanio, benefits from highly mineral, fossil-rich soils and a temperate climate. It’s named after Andrea’s grandfather, who inspired the
youngster to try his hand at winemaking. Tenuta dell’Ugolino has won many accolades over the years, mainly on the strength of its very precise, pure Verdicchio wines. This is an up and coming Italian wine estate whose wines never disappoint me.” – Ian D’Agata – July 2015
